I think that this one is pretty self explanatory! I did it probably, oh, about a month ago now! I was on my way to school on the bus in my Spring 2010 semester and I finished it not only all by myself, but in what I believe to be record timing for my crosswords! I was so proud!!!
78. Get a diamond ;)
This one is also amazingly self explanatory: Paul and I are engaged!!!!! We went into gastown on the 17th of May to do a couples photoshoot for my friend Ashleigh and her two photographer friends. Andrea Joki was in town (from Finland) and she was teaching Ashleigh and her colleagues a thing or two about lighting and posing and all sorts of fun things we could help with. Little did I know that Paul had already spoken to Ashleigh and at the very lest few shots, he got down on one knee, and nervously said, "Will you marry me, Jessica?". It was the most amazing moment! I cried like a child, and the first thing out of my mouth was, "Oh my god you're doing this right now!" Amidst the applause coming from every car and pedestrian that could see us on water street, I managed to get my voice back, and said a big fat YES! It was the perfect thing. I wasn't expecting it in the least at that moment!!! Very, very excited!!!
81. Make a photo journal of 365 days
This one is in light purple which means I'm still working on it, but a little while ago I got this really cool app for my iPhone which allowed me to take a photo for every day, and it would store it. It's called project 365, and I tried to do it a little while ago, but I forgot a few days here and there so I'm going to start being a lot more strict with it!
84. Get over hating the Olympics
This one was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be. When the Olympics hit Vancouver, I thought that it was going to be mayhem here. I thought traffic was going to be irreversibly altered and that it was going to be crawling with tourists and I wasn't going to be able to do anything but sit at home and hate everything. Well, much to my dismay, the exact opposite happened! The roads we're ridiculously free of traffic, and the tourists were all concentrated in the downtown core of Vancouver. These tourists we're so full of awesomeness and life, it was hard not to have a great time here. Downtown was colorful and decorated with art and sculpture, and everyone was just so proud of their nationalities. I got to take Paul to the Italian House and even met a photographer that came from my town in Italy. Very fun times! Once in a lifetime opportunity to get to be here, and it was fantastic!
91. Turn my bedroom into a bedroom, and just a bedroom
I did this one with Paul's help and support, which I am lucky enough to say, I get almost all of the time anyways. We decided to turn the bed around so that the room appeared as a bedroom should, relaxing, with one purpose, to wind down, and sleep. It's a nice change because now I'm not really tempted to do my homework in there and I'm getting much better sleeps!!!!
92. Stop eating so much chocolate
I realized that after having gained 30 pounds in the course of the last 11 months, I had to revert back to my "everything in moderation" rule, so I got back to the gym, and have allowed myself cheat moments to balance out my need for chokky. I still eat it, but a little bit here and there, and that way, the guilt isn't eating me alive inside!!!!
96. Buy Paul the most gorgeous wedding band in the history of wedding bands
2 weeks ago, we walked into Goldbrite on Hastings street and ordered our rings; we chose our wedding bands and my engagement ring. I was able to get him the most beautiful wedding band, one with a comfortable fit, and one that he loved. I'm so happy that he was able to find on. He's so picky! And the wedding date isn't really all that far away considering last month was the 22nd of April, and I feel like that was just yesterday!!!!!
100. Promise Paul that I will love him, have him, and hold him, and only him, for the rest of my life, till death do us part, before our spectacular family and our amazing witnesses
This one will be in progress until we tie the knot via civil ceremony next month! June 30th, 2010 is our official wedding date, and we're making all the proper arrangements so that our wedding, and our ceremony next year will go without a hitch, and so that we can enjoy the night as much as we possibly can!!!!! Very, very excited!
